Dr. Hakim Md. Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan has over four decades of extensive experience in Unani medicine, herbal pharmaceuticals, and healthcare leadership. Beginning his career with Hamdard in 1972 and assuming full responsibility in 1982, he successfully transformed Hamdard Bangladesh from a financially challenged organization into a nationally respected institution. His leadership was instrumental in achieving official recognition of Unani medicine in Bangladesh and expanding its acceptance among modern medical practitioners. He has also played a key role in establishing modern manufacturing facilities, nationwide medical centers offering free healthcare services, and large-scale educational and research institutions.

Dr. Bhuiyan’s expertise lies in Unani and Eastern medical sciences, herbal pharmaceutical development, and the integration of traditional medicine with modern healthcare systems. He possesses deep knowledge in quality management of herbal medicines, healthcare institution building, and medical education development. His work bridges science, tradition, and social responsibility, ensuring safe, effective, and accessible healthcare solutions while advancing research, education, and sustainable health services across Bangladesh.
