PhytochemistProf. Dr. Choudhury Mahmood Hasan is a renowned phytochemist and distinguished academic leader of Bangladesh. He completed his B.Pharm. (Hons.), M (Pharm.) from the University of Dhaka (DU), and earned a PhD in his field of specialization. Throughout his illustrious career, he has contributed significantly to pharmaceutical sciences, higher education, and scientific research. He currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Hamdard Board of Trustees and has held several prestigious academic and administrative positions nationally.

Work experience
Prof. Dr. Choudhury Mahmood Hasan has held prominent leadership positions in academia and research institutions. He served as the Former Vice-Chancellor of Manarat International University and as the Ex-Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Dhaka. Additionally, he served as the Ex-Chairman of the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), where he contributed to national scientific advancement and research development.
He also served as the Ex-Director of Drug Administration Bangladesh, where he played a key role in regulatory oversight and pharmaceutical governance. Currently, he is the Vice-Chairman of the Hamdard Board of Trustees and Vice-Chairman of Ibne Sina Trust, contributing to strategic leadership, healthcare initiatives, and institutional development. His active memberships in internationally recognized scientific organizations further reflect his global academic engagement.
